- Background Information:
The Community Organization for Development and Empowerment-TCODE-INITIATE is a Nongovernmental, nonprofit, youth-oriented organization based in Lebanon and dedicated to assisting vulnerable communities through youth inclusion and empowerment. While keeping youth at its focus of its mission, TCODE-INITIATE continually endeavors in creating comprehensive and inclusive programs aimed towards the empowerment of youth, and its concentric circles of influence.
In the process of delivering its Mission TCODE-INITIATE aspires to keeping its status as a hub for youth allowing them to: access a safe space, and acquire knowledge and access to a network of social and political influencers enhancing their social participation in decision making processes.
- Purpose of the Contract:
As a Logistics Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate and support logistics activities within MESO 3. You will play a crucial role in driving initiatives forward while ensuring smooth logistics operations.
- Tasks:
- Collect and organize offers/invoices and/or any document related to project and initiative logistics activities.
- Coordinate with operations department to ensure timely forwarding of documents for processing.
- Ensure adherence to INITIATE’s procurement procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with Procurement Officer to align logistics procurement practices with organizational guidelines.
- Identify potential suppliers aligned with project and initiatives requirements and objectives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to support project and initiatives logistics needs.
- Place orders for logistics-related items and materials in accordance with project and initiative timelines and specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ordered items.
- Conduct thorough quality and quantity checks on received items and materials to maintain standards.
- Document and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during quality checks.
- Organize and maintain storage areas for initiative materials in accordance with safety and accessibility standards.
- Implement inventory management systems to track material quantities and locations.
- Provide support and oversight for transportation plans related to project and initiatives logistics activities.
- Coordinate with transportation partners to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor compliance with INITIATE’s transportation procedures and policies regarding vehicle maintenance.
- Facilitate transportation of materials from suppliers to requesters, including field delivery coordination if required for initiative activities.
- Collaborate with operations team members to streamline logistics processes and ensure smooth operations.
- Regularly update and maintain equipment lists and inventory records relevant to project and initiatives logistics.
- Monitor office and storage space rents, utility fees, and maintenance activities to ensure smooth functioning of logistics infrastructure.
- Engage with operations team members, supervisors, and coworkers to coordinate logistics efforts in support of initiatives objectives.
- Actively participate in team meetings, workshops, and provide logistical support as needed for MESO3 project.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to traffic laws and regulations during logistics operations.
- Adhere to established organizational procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
- Provide logistical assistance and support to the team as needed, including coordination of meetings and training sessions related to project and initiatives logistics.
- Qualifications:
The Logistics Consultant must have the following minimum qualifications:
- High School degree.
- Proven experience in logistics or Procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of transportation and inventory management.
- Knowledge of logistics software and technologies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Timeframe:
The contracting party is expected to provide his services in the period of 01.08.2023 until 30.11.2024
